Beginner Brioche 2-Color Scarf Class

Have you always wanted to brioche, but were unsure how to start? Come and learn how ‘barking’ and ‘burping’ will lead you to create a beautiful knitted work of art! Megan will cover the basics of knitting Brioche flat by making a 2-color scarf, getting you prepared to add Brioche to other projects like sweaters and scarves.

Class Level: Intermediate
Attendees must know how to and be comfortable with:
– Knitting
– Purling
– Yarn overs
– Slipping stitches

What to bring to class:
– 2 colors of yarn in contrasting shades (any weight is fine but Sock/Fingering, DK, or heavier recommended). Yardage will be specified in the pattern.

– Knitting needles in size appropriate for yarn you’ll be using (circular preferred)
– Writing instrument to take notes

– Printed pattern

– A 2-color brioche scarf knitting pattern
– Instructions on how to brioche flat (for reference after the class)
– Link to two instructional videos on YouTube (that the instructor did)

– Prior to class, recommend practicing the Twisted German Cast On Method
